Equity Champions
An Equity Champion is a dedicated individual trained by WashU Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). These champions play a pivotal role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Department of Anesthesiology, helping to create a more fair and welcoming culture. They work closely with the ODEI and the department’s Office of Professional Growth & Engagement (OPGE) to provide professional development and enhance the Understanding Systemic Racism curriculum for members.

IDEA Taskforce
The mission of the Inclusive Departmental Engagement and Advisory (IDEA) Taskforce is to pioneer innovation in all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the anesthesiology department. These proactive leaders devise and execute strategic plans to bring about tangible change. Rather than merely discussing these issues, the taskforce is committed to taking decisive action.
